TOO NOISY FISH

Since 2011, Too Noisy Fish has been a central thread in my musical life. Together with pianist and composer Peter Vandenberghe and drummer Teun Verbruggen, I form a trio that grew out of the rhythm section of Flat Earth Society and developed its own uncompromising musical language.

For more than fifteen years, we have been exploring the space between composition and improvisation, precision and chaos, humour and intensity. Peter’s compositions provide a framework in which the three of us can constantly challenge and reshape the music in the moment.

After Fast Easy Sick, Fight Eat Sleep, Furious Empathic Silence and the 10th-anniversary project Too Many Fish, we return in 2026 to the original trio format with Tolstoy, our new album released on Challenge Records.
